Our Story

The Mt. Lebanon Council of Republican Women was founded in 1952 to support the candidacy of Dwight D. Eisenhower. At that time, women in Mt. Lebanon took the opportunity to become more politically involved. The Council began as a small social group, holding events in the homes of members for local candidates. Over time, the Council grew into a robust organization. The Council continues to promote honest government, unselfish patriotism, and is a strong voice of advocacy for conservative women in Western Pennsylvania.
